Deal involves NTT DOCOMO’s investment into Tata Teleservices India, DOCOMO will acquire 26% of TTSL''''s common shares.

In addition, DOCOMO expects to make offer to acquire up to 20% of  shares in Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) through joint tender offer with Tata Sons.

Deal marks entry of the Japanese giant into world’s fastest-growing telecom market, which reportedly three times more subscribers than Japan.
