Former Mallesons senior associate Shahriar Mofakhami has moved to Maddocks’ Melbourne office, after taking up a new job as tax & revenue partner.
Mofakhami says he was attracted to the size of Maddocks and speed at which it works to capitalise on opportunities in the market. “In terms of size, the tax and revenue practice at Maddocks is on-par with top-tier firms and the depth of technical tax expertise is evidenced by Maddocks' appointment to the legal panel for the Taxation Office” he said.
Mofakhami has brought his associate Tina Savona with him from Mallesons, currently working as a senior associate. “Tina has been working with me for a number of years designing and advising clients in relation to a wide range of domestic and cross-border structured transactions. We have acted for domestic and foreign corporations, financial institutions, sovereign funds and insurers.”
