Ex-Mallesons partner Andrew Flannery has moved to Corrs, after working for the firm for just over 10 years.
Flannery said he thinks Mallesons is an "awesome firm" to work for, but wanted to align his skills with a firm where property, infrastructure and government work was a key focus.
To this end he felt that Corrs would be a good fit: "Corrs often sat across the table from me and I came across them on a constant basis, more recently during the Darling Island Three development," he said. "Corrs is also expanding its engineering property infrastructure and construction industry division, and government practice."
There is surprisingly little difference between working at the two firms, said Flannery. Both are located in the same building and act for similar clients in his area of law. The differences that do exist do not bring any drawbacks either: "I have always wanted to act for Barangaroo and Corrs has a major role in acting for one of the potential bidders. It is one of the most exciting property projects."
