Ex-Blake Dawson managing director John Atkin has been appointed as CEO of Trust Company, a specialist and independent fiduciary.
Atkin had previously served as Blakes managing partner for six years, before retiring in July. During that time he led a successful transformation of the firm, most recently bringing its second year of double digit revenue growth.
He said he was very excited about joining Trust and looked forward to working with the management team to preserve and enhance the group's position in the financial services sector.
John Carrington has since been appointed as managing partner of Blakes. He was previously the firm's deputy managing partner and has been with the firm for over 20 years, working in the Sydney, Perth, and Melbourne offices. Prior to taking on the role he was the office managing partner in Perth for six years and had an extensive insolvency and corporate recovery practice.
