Gadens Sydney has appointed Doron Rivlin as a partner in the firm’s construction practice.
Formerly a partner at Herbert Geer, Rivlin has extensive experience acting in matters related to airports, sporting facilities, defence, property, educational facilities, mining, hydro-electric and chemical facilities, water treatment plants and transport.
His clients include developers, contractors, professional consultants and private clients. Rivlin, is particularly experienced at contract preparation and all forms of commercial dispute resolution including litigation, arbitration, mediation and adjudication. He is an accredited adjudicator under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act, bringing the number of Gadens partners who are accredited adjudicators under the Act to three.
Lead construction partner Scott Laycock said Rivlin’s appointment enforces the firm’s strategy to service the development companies and contractors involved in construction, not the financiers. “In Sydney, we now have four partners in our construction team, who are focused on servicing the industry’s front-end and litigation needs,” he said.
Joining with Rivlin is senior associate Marcus Graham and lawyer Richard Bullock who has a background in engineering.
